To all units and schools of HUHST,

Following deliberation, HUHST has decided on the arrangements for the 2025 summer vacation, which are hereby notified as follows:

I. Vacation Arrangements

(1) Current students will begin their summer vacation on July 2. Registration will take place on September 6 and 7, and classes will start on September 8.

(2) The reporting dates for the 2025 cohort of new students are September 13 and 14.

(3) Teaching and administrative staff will take staggered leave starting from July 4 and will report back to work on September 2.

II. Relevant Requirements

(1) All units and schools shall conscientiously complete end-of-term tasks and make proper preparations for the new semester to ensure that all work proceeds smoothly and in an orderly manner.

(2) Strengthen campus safety. Before the vacation, all units and schools shall carry out safety education for faculty, staff, and students, with a particular focus on fire safety, traffic safety, drowning prevention, and the prevention of telecom fraud. Prior to the vacation, the Security Department shall conduct a comprehensive inspection, and identify and eliminate potential safety hazards on campus. The Logistics and Infrastructure Office shall carry out a thorough safety inspection of campus water and electrical lines and strengthen the management of all construction projects during the vacation, so as to ensure the university’s safety and stability.

(3) During the vacation, the canteen in operation will be the Runtian Dinning Hall on the fourth floor of Chunhe Building.

(4) Ensure proper duty arrangements during the vacation. The Administrative Office (duty phone: 8325700) shall be responsible for organizing the university’s duty work, and the Security Department (emergency phone: 8375110) shall arrange 24-hour duty shifts. All units and schools shall also arrange their own duty personnel. Staff on duty must remain at their posts and perform their duties conscientiously. In the event of major emergencies or important urgent situations, they must report immediately and take practical measures in a timely manner to respond appropriately.

(5) Make-up examinations for the autumn semester will be held from September 13 to 19. Detailed arrangements will be notified separately by the Academic Affairs Office. Relevant students should check the examination schedule in a timely manner and come to the university on time to sit the exams.
